Terms & Conditions
Effective June 10, 2026
These terms govern your access to and use of CanGrant, operated by CanGrant Technologies Inc. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service
CanGrant helps you find Canadian funding opportunities, draft and score grant proposals, and export formatted documents. The service uses artificial intelligence grounded in a knowledge base of funded proposals to generate suggestions and scores.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least the age of majority in your province or territory and able to enter into a binding contract. You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
3. AI-generated content
Drafts, scores, matches, and answers produced by the service are generated by AI models and may contain errors, omissions, or content that does not fit your situation. You are responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing all output before submitting it to any funder. Completeness scores measure specificity and unfilled gaps. Competitiveness scores compare writing against funded versus rejected proposals in the knowledge base. Neither is a prediction of funding outcomes.
CanGrant does not guarantee that any application will be accepted, funded, or that any grant will be awarded.
4. Not professional advice
The service does not provide legal, financial, accounting, or tax advice. Content is for general informational purposes. For decisions that carry legal or financial consequences, consult a qualified professional.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the organization details, proposal text, and documents you submit ("your content"). You grant CanGrant a limited licence to process your content solely to operate and provide the service to you, including sending it to our AI processing providers as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any document you add to your knowledge base, including funded proposals authored by others.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service to submit false or misleading information to any funder;
- upload content you do not have the right to use;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service;
- use the service to violate any applicable law or the rules of any funding program.
7. Third-party services
The service runs on third-party infrastructure, including Amazon Web Services - application hosting and data storage are in the Canada (Central) region, while Amazon Bedrock AI inference is processed in the United States via cross-region inference (see our Privacy Policy). Your use is also subject to those providers' terms where applicable.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CanGrant Technologies Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost funding, lost profits, or lost data, arising from your use of the service.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to others or to the service.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
